How Can I Limit The Bandwidth Computers On My Network Receive?
Posted on January 13th, 2010 1 commentI am on a network with a total of three computers. The others are constantly torrenting and taking so much bandwidth, I receive almost nothing. Is there a way to limit the amount of bandwidth they can consume from my computer? One is on a wireless connection and the other is on a 125 foot cable.

You have two options.
1) remove the router and make all the internet connections go through a server so you can control bandwidth.
or
2) purchase a newer router that supports QoS (Quality of Service), which will make sure that all the connections will have a equal share of the bandwidth.
