Moving Out To Another Hosting Server – Bye Bye Exabytes…
Posted on February 5th, 2009 3 commentsI guess the time has come… i finally have to move this site and the other site to another new hosting server which i think much more reliable hosting and great value for money….But hey hey..don’t judge the book by its cover…

i’m not going to tell you which hosting server am going to use…first..as i want to experienced it on my own…others people say its a great company but you never know….
…i better reserve my comment for now..who knows i might say the other way round later. Anyway…my experienced over Exabytes after two years wasn’t good at all…Files gone, website setting went off, permission suddenly changed…Support wasn’t really responsive.. some support staff doesn’t really know what they should do if something bad happened.
Even worst, when our Corporate client complaint can’t access their website form their company network. This is not something new.. been experiencing this weird problem..where some network can access some can’t. I suspect they block some network or IP due to over usage or the connection was too often to that particular site. I don’t know i am not that technical but.. I don’t think it is because of TM network or Jaring Network.
Normally they will blame TM for having such bad network and that caused their site unavailable…. I know that sound funny
i mean funny for an IT guy… at first i can accept it but when i think back…Hmmm there is no such things.. if TM network really bad.. Why i can access all others website without any interruptions? eheh you tell me
.I again suspect that is Exabytes Problem.. Their Web server security measurement not so intelligent

anyway…it’s a bye bye to exabytes…Related posts:

The problem with such Malaysian companies is that they over-sell the space in the servers. I’ve moved my domain to the USA.

I totally agree with you that Exabytes support suck!!!
Just wanna post complaint abt Exa’s support.
I started to host a domain with them on 2007 and feel that their supports very good. You can send them request during midnight and you will get reply in 1-2 hr.Later on, there are some “serious” issue on email server. Few clients keep complaining that they got errors will clicking on send/rec. I purposely went down and tested at my clients’ side. Nothing wrong with the OE settings. I posted a few requests with Exa, and I got to see their “real color” – reply very fast but no solution.
They will tell you the cause, blah blah blah~~~ but if you read back to whole request, and you will find that there is no solution provided. They just reply you in 1-2 hr for nothing. Reply fast but not solve fast. One of my client even switch to Dedicated server, bcos according to them, the shared hosting is shared by 2 domains, which might be causing some issues. I just don understand the stupid answer that they said – the error of email server might be caused by shared enviroment which can not be solved unless we got a dedicated server. So, are they trying to say that if we take a bus/ cab (shared), we shd understand that we might not be able to reach our destination? I can understand if the service slower than dedicated, but not error. If the “passenger” like us complaint abt the error, then we will be suggested to get our own “car”? This is a stupid solution from professional support.
Haa… really frustrating when dealing with their support team.
BTW, is there anybody having issue with Exabtyes email server, particulary on 202.75.48.13 & 202.75.48.93?
