YahOOoooo! am still alive and still Kicking! And for that i updated my blog to WordPress 2.6 few days ago. I must the upgrading process went smooth like always. Thanks to the WordPress 2.6 Team! Latest updates with great features and well arranged and nice back end background color too .

So what is the reason to upgrade your Old wordpress to the new one? Well top reason why you should upgrade are:

1) Gallery

They implemented a new gallery system and this will allow you to upload photos or image in bulk and again you can post all the picture in your blog post with this command

and all your pictures will be displayed in thumbnail and your visitor can click on the picture for a larger version.

Great Function and i love it! and again, once you insert the picture in your post, you can also edit the picture size after that..means more user friendly try posting your picture and the click on that picture and you will see the icon for you to edit the picture size or the position (left,right,center)

2) Post Revision

This feature is a life saver and is the most important feature at least for someone like me who usually ends up messing with an on-going post and hence looses out on good lines (both in numbers and content). Re-doing is so much more painful. What this feature basically does is it auto-saves multiple version of your on-going post and allows you to go back to an older version of the post. The most sexy part is the fact that it shows you in color highlights the changes you have made prior to a revision. Something like the one in the screenshot below.

3) Theme Preview

Yes!! cool feature, you can now preview your Theme before you make it live!

4) Image Caption

You can now put an image caption on your picture to highlight or to tell your readers what is the picture all about.

5) Word Count

No more counting your post word lols! because WordPress 2.6 will do that for you

6) Intuitive Design and Refreshing color

Very good design and welcoming color scheme on the back end side.

7) Press This

a simple feature that enables you to quickly post a blog post of the web page you are viewing. On the right hand side (When you are in the Write Post area), you can see something that reads Press This.
