  • Dato’ Anwar Vs. Dato’ Shabery – Debate On How To Decrease Fuel Price

    I think most of Malaysian especially those who owned at least 1 car will love this debate. I don’t really watch TV at home as i used to spent my time doing something else inside my room. (Pc repair,photo editing, reading,programming) But tonight, I reserved my 60 minutes to watch the debate between Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Dato Shabery.

    Well i am actually expecting something really hot and simple to understand and logically explained why they increased the fuel price (The ruling party) and how Dato’s Seri Anwar can actually help us the poor to get at least a good reasonable fuel price again.

    What did i get for the whole 1 hour? Lols! let me start with Dato’s Shabery the person responsible to explain about the fuel price hike recently.

    From what i heard and saw from my TV screen and the TV Speaker, Dato’s Shabery more interested in personal attack to Dato’s Seri Anwar ibrahim rather then explaining why and why and why The current government. What the…so hell? since the first round, He always talk about how Dato’ Anwar opposed the government during the year 1974, how Anwar, Opposed the Tun Razak from forming Petronas, and how Anwar never changed and how Anwar love IMF (international Monetary fund ) and how Anwar when he was still with government never did anything.

    I guess Dato’ Shabery is more interested with Anwar personal life and to attack him personally????? Brother Shabery, What happened to you actually? Are you high on drugs? or you are out of ideas? or you forgot the script? Or you are not capable with the position you are in now? Minister of information? minister of explanation? or Minister of diffuclties? or Minister of Personal Assistant? or Minister of Attack? and not defense?

    It is actually funny, When you were asked to go for a debate on a Fuel price, but you go there to personally Attack your sparing partner? Why? Are trying to show us, the malaysian that you are dumb enough? or you are trying to showcase your stupidity in front of the Tv audience? Huh! To be exact, He also didn’t read the Petronas report thoroughly nor with a complete understanding towards the report provided by petronas? What is going on Brother Shabery?

    In Short About Dato Shabery Act:

    1) Interested on Personal attack to Dato’ Anwar

    2) Not Smart

    3) Very not professional

    4) Not informative at all

    5) Doesn’t have good facts to support his speech

    While i am actually waiting something good and something that really can WOW me during their debate, Dato’ Anwar Act professionally. Things that i can still remember:

    1) I am here for a debate on Fuel, and not for personal attack , even though Dato’ Shabery did that to me, am not going to respond to it.

    2) When he quoted about the Petronas , Report, Where Dato Shabery, said this ” Petronas already said that on year 2015, our petroleum is no longer available, are you telling me that you will only increase the fuel price once we are not longer a fuel production country? then the poeple will suffer?”

    Good Answer from Dato’ Anwar, ” Yang Berhormat, Petronas Wrote in the report, If They failed to get a new fuel well then only our fuel production have to stop (That is IF only).” This is another problem, even The MP doesn’t understand the report for sure this will create trouble to the people because our YB doesn’t read the report properly” For your information, for the past 20-30 years, Study show that on 2005 they will be no more fuel for us to use, but until now, the fuel industry is keep growing.”

    3) Telling the people the income per capita in Finland and norway is like 10 times higher from us.

    4) telling Arab,venezuela inflation is higher but their fuel is super damn cheap

    5) No Personal Attack by Him to Dato’s Shabery.

    The conclusion, Hmm i don’t actually get all the facts that i really wanted to know. But maybe this is due to the short time given for them. Well what to do then. For sure we the people still know and understand what is going on with our current government.

    • Well ben… i too watched it last night wit my mentuas… since my lil baby taking over my Tv in my room…
      i watched it not because wanted to know about the fuel hiking but merely because i wanted to see how Shaby (to me a nobody no fight at all) would be debating with THE ANWAR himself (Well known for his free talks around the world)…well im not surprised at all… Shabby was like orang kg… do personal attacks… hoping that anwar will be intimadated by him…wakakaka… yeah right… as usual ANWAR being so relax and calm… answering and debating calmly…
      Shabby din do any research… i think he did but not himself but his Personal Assistant… so he think he is quite ready but he surely not…im sure ANWAR did the research report on Petronas by himself…like i assume he always did when he was still the FInance Minister…
      To me… our government now is QUITE STOOPPID… why on earth they agree on Debating with ANWAR last night..putting it on live TV somemore…BN really “kurik kubur sendiri”… im not on anybody side… but this is wat i had tot… i dont really care about politics..imagine how many ppl out there too…but since last night…after listened to ANWAR (opposition) and Shabby (BN-Govt)… its like a wake up call (mmg la all the fuel hike shud b a wake up call..but us ladies nie kurang sikit ba pengetahuan..if u know wat i mean)… i was like “betul juga si ANWAR”… if i had that feeling last night…think of how many others were clapping their hands everytime ANWAR speaks out something which is true and masuk akal… even my FIL was clapping his hands last night..ni di rumah bukan di studio…
      At least ANWAR had his chance talking what was in his mind all this while…berapa lama dia perap dlm otak…he gets to let it out last night and put some senses (hopefully) to our PEOPLE and GOVT!!!!..
      as for shabby…where did u come from??? anywhere????? memalukan… with talking rubbish last night…with sliva at his mouth..yuck… you really humiliated urself last night…i think last night after the debate u received a call from PM kena maki la tu…. serves u right..budu kan…. u go everyway ppl will be looking at u furiously…except ur orang kanan…which still be angkat ur kaki…

      tu ja la ben…from a mother n a wife yg kurang sikit pengetahuan in this thingy but still have her own say kan… im sure backing anwar since our govt leader really cannot lead…

    • Sebenarnya sama sama hebat juga. Cuma Anwar sangat hebat sehingga Shabery nampak kebudak budakan.

      Kalaulah Anwar menjadi PM, masyhorlah nama Malaysia diseluruh dunia. Walaupun saya orang Sabah, saya amat menghormati Anwar disebabkan perjuangannya tetapi inilah kali pertama saya nampak ia berdebat. Ia juga terbukti amat prihatin terhadap orang yang teraniaya seperti Sabah yang mempunyai kadar kemiskinan yang tertinggi di Malaysia dan di Dunia, dengan memberi Sabah 20% royalti.

      Saya kurang setuju dengan subsidi. Saya lebih setuju dengan pemberian wang terus kepada rakyat, daripada memberi subsidi dimana wang diberi kepada pembekal. Oleh sebab itu saya kurang setuju dengan PKR yang nampaknya cuma mahu memberi subsidi minyak sahaja.

      Mungkin disebabkan propaganda Berita di Malaysia menyebabkan saya kurang faham dengan pendirian Anwar seperti yang terbukti diberi yang disiarkan oleh Bernama tentang perdebatan ini.

      Isu utama Anwar yang masih tidak dijawab oleh Shaberi ialah isu kenaikan harga yang MENDADAK. Sudden increase in the price of fuel. Mungkin wakil-wakil kerajaan kurang faham erti MENDADAK, atau mungkin sengaja memperbodohkan rakyat.

      Mesej yang penting yang dapat saya faham dari perkataan Anwar adalah, pengurangan harga setakat yang mampu oleh kerajaan. Bukannya mengurangkan harga sehingga kerajaan bankrupt.

      Inilah yang terjadi diIran. Gara-gara menyenangkan hati rakyat, harga minyak disubsidi sehingga nilai matawang jatuh menyebabkan inflasi yang teruk. Apa tidak, kalau kerajaan ashik mencetak wang kertas walaupun hasil kutipan kurang.

      Anwar juga faham, bahawa pengurangan harga minyak sebanyak 50sen juga tidak baik untuk ekonomi, tetapi perlu dibuat untuk menolong RAKYAT. OKlah itu. Cuma, jangan keterlaluan sehingga nilai mata wang jatuh mendadak pula.

      Shaberi betul juga dengan mengatakan bahawa diIran inflasi terlalu tinggi walaupun harga minyak rendah. Cuma dia tidak mahu faham apa Anwar terangkan. Diharap wakil-wakil kerajaan faham yang isu sebenarnya ialah kenaikan harga mendadak walaupun kerajaan masih mampu menanggung kos dalam jangka-masa pendek.

      Isu yang tidak dijawab oleh Anwar ialah keperluan untuk membuat demonstrasi. Sebenarnya hak untuk membuat demonstrasi adalah termaktub dalam perlembagaan dimana tidak ada badan perundangan termasuk PARLIMEN, tidak boleh menghalang demonstrasi secara AMAN. In adalah perlembagaan. Rakyat yang menghormati perlembagaan perlulah menghormati demonstrasi, walaupun kita tidak rasa selesa atau menghadapi kerugian akibat dari demonstrasi.

      Satu lagi isu ialah kenapa cuma 20% keuntungan PETRONAS datang dari operasi dalaman. Anwar tidak dapat menjawab. Saya pula sangsi dengan fakta ini. Walaupun ia betul, ini bermakna PETRONAS terlalu banyak melabor diluar negara. Keuntungan penjualan minyak yang dihasilkan dari dalam negeri memang banyak, jika kos operasi tidak dikira. Tetapi kalau “hasil penjualan”(revenue) ini digunakan untuk operasi dan pelaboran luar-negara, habislah keuntungan ini. Adalah lebih baik jika hasil penjualan dilaborkan diMalaysia seperti membuat lebih banyak pusat NGV untuk menggalakkan penggunaan gas. Atau ini cuma satu penipuan maklumat sahaja. Keuntungan 20% ini adalah keuntungan operasi penjual stesyen minyak PETRONAS diMalaysia sahaja. Patutlah.

      Untuk mereka yang selalu mendengar ahli politik USA berdebat, nyatalah bahawa ahli politik Malaysia kurang intelek. BN sudah ketundasan ahli intelek. Bayangkan seorang Naib Cancelor tidak tahu bahawa gas adalah digolongkan dalam industri minyak. Wakil Anwar, adalah lebih profesional sebab mungkin dia seorang yang terlibat dalam industri minyak.

    • sama2 HEBAT?!! sa dak setuju sekiranya Mr Othman menyatakan Ahmad Shabery tu sama HEBAT dgn DS. kenapa?! kerana.. Level mereka TIDAK SAMA.. dr segi ISI-ISI PENTING. Mana Hebatnya?! apa ISInya?! merapu? berbuya?

      tapi.. iya la.. pendpt masing2 kan. ok.. tak pa la. eheh..! Shalom!

    • hahaha… uinah mae. sa pun dgr dr blkg ja mula2. time mo habis2 sudah yg tv3 baru sa pi tgk. btul2 la… diorg ckp berdebat mcm US. debat pun mengkali tia pass tu satu ikur. org ckp tdk blh ckp topik ini ini (yang tdk berkenaan la), dia pi ckp juga. tapi mcm diorg kasi buduh2 si DSAI la sa rasa. brapa pro dia mo ckp pun, tapi kerajaan juga bah control media. org downsyndrome pun bleh jadi pandai n menang debat. kalau mo btul2 debat, napa tdk AI vs AB? mengkali si Abu Bakar “kurang pengetahuan” siiiiikit, tu lah kalau dia kena panggil, nanti bikin malu negara ja.

      dak KUTUK susah… meng’KUTUK pun mmg dak buli TAHAN. tahap dewa ni.
      Na-O.. btl la juga.. GOVT control semua… semua.. 1 NEGARA. setakat pahlawan2 rakyat yg kici2 ni. hmm… apa yg buli buat kan. sekadar KATA-KATA.. TULISAN ja la.
