Chua Soi Lek , Resign due to his Sex Video

Malaysia’s health minister resigned his cabinet post Wednesday after admitting he had been secretly filmed having sex with a female friend in a hotel room.
Chua Soi Lek, 61, the most senior member of Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s government to resign after a sex scandal, announced that he was also stepping down from parliament.
“The people could not accept (the scandal), so to me and my family it was better for me to resign so that I am not a liability to the national leadership,” Chua, a married man with three children, told a hastily convened news conference.
“I won’t be the first and I won’t be the last (politician to be caught in such a situation),” he added.
“It is up to the public to judge me.”
A grim-looking prime minister said he accepted Chua’s resignation and thanked him for taking responsibility for his actions.
“The public not only wants (the government) to act swiftly on issues and carry out our duties well,” Abdullah said.
“The issue of morality is also important to the people,” he added.
Chua admitted Tuesday that he was in the video, which has been splashed on the front pages of Malaysian newspapers since the DVD started circulating in southern Johor state last week.
Chua is vice president of the Malaysian Chinese Association, a key part of Abdullah’s coalition government.
Abdullah said Chua’s resignation would not affect upcoming general elections, which he is expected to announce this year.
Chua said his family was fully supportive of his decision and admitted that the scandal was taking a toll. “I live in a very close-knit family but I am confident that my family will support me,” he added.
The video is believed to have been taken from closed-circuit television and was recorded two years ago, according to the state news agency Bernama.
Chua met Abdullah on Monday to discuss the situation, Bernama said, and it was decided then that he had to go public with his identity.
Sex scandals among politicians are not uncommon in Malaysia, with several members of the ruling United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) having been forced to resign in recent years.
Defiant to the last, Chua drew a line between his public and private life, refusing to comment on the incident portrayed in the tape.
“If you want to discuss my private life, please do,” he told reporters at his press conference. “Maybe you would like to watch the videotape with me.”

Well, I can say is, he’s just unlucky to get caught red handed…I know a lot of those Datuks or YBs are doing the same thing, so I have to agree on what he said, I won’t be the first and I won’t be the last (politician to be caught in such a situation)…

about this video i remembered we saw it on the tv in cempaka just after the stroke of midnight… what a way to start 2008… must be to him 2008 is a soi year…ehehehe..to resign… early of the year..
yesterday when i read the news.. “the Sex dvd shows various SEX ACTS“… buli tahan nie org tua…now he is 60…so the video was taken 2 years ago…means 58..buli tahan…even my bos commented… “he must have taken 10pills of viagra” coz the vid is more than 100mins… can u imagine???

as embarrassing as it is for him,i honestly think that Chua Soi Lek handled this pretty calmly.i watched the news yesterday..from what he said…could see that he only let go off all the posts he’s holding because he knows the citizens could not accept the fact… its true that he wont be the last one being caught this way..kesian juga…politicians..when they want u to fall…they’ll make u fall..real hard

yesterday i went out to lunch with my bosses..we were talking…my other said that…just google free download C.S.L SEx video… then they will come up so many websites… he hv seen the video but he said nothing much la…bukan teruk pun..or maybe my boss only got the short ones…

when i said poor old man..i meant its a sad thing that he got caught..and the whole country found out about it….i mean..yes he deserved it by all means because he was cheating on his wife.But then again..just because he’s a politician,everything is such an issue. Chua is still a man…a man with needs….like i would say..DJ..(Dasar Jantan) huhuhu… just think about it,politicians do these kind of things,its just that they don’t get caught on tape.And if an ordinary man did this,would any1 bother at all?

Unrepentant scum what a disgrace and to think of him being our ex-health minister! Being set up, being tricked?! HUH?! U are HEALTH MINISTER for pete’s sake, u go about telling people to have morals to behave while u perform like a stud at the back. Guy with psychology background this kind of activities definitely show zero practise of psychology himself, betraying family’s trust, moral responsibilities to citizens for personal pleasure and not being repentant, there’s definitely something wrong with him! If he were a normal citizen with no duties towards the people and not taking money from the public then fine by all means that’s his personal life, BUT HE’S NOT!! Good job spy camera in the hotel room, hands up for digging more dirt on ‘dirty’ politicians. Looking forward for a erotic election!
