This is Amazing! and if i am not mistaken i only saw this type of picture at Heroes Movie! now we at Kota Kinabalu can see this amazing sun!Well i don’t know if this phenomenon has anything to do with Ozone or any related problem with our environment am not a scientist or an expert to this amazing phenomenon.
But my beloved reader florence sms me to ask me to see what happen to the Sun today and i was so like…wow what is this? Hmm..then have to rush back to my house to take my Digital Cameras to snap the scene.
This is the first shot taken somewhere at kepayan area.
This one was taken at Kompleks Karamunsing Parking Car with my Wide Angle Fisheye Lens

This phenomenon is called a 22 degree Halo. You can get the information about it anywhere in the internet. I searched for this phenomenon when I first saw it on the 17th May 2007. I like the information given by the University of Illinois. Check it here – http://ww2010.atmos.uiuc.edu/(Gh)/guides/mtr/opt/ice/halo/22.rxml

wahahahah…sa ingat sa saturang ja nmpk tuari NaO…ada kawan…
wow…name pun cantik la…ada lg yg bulan 7 or 8 pun begini juga tu…i think not everybody perasan… -
ya melle, maybe yg the other one b4 this tdk brapa ketara maybe. dunno lah. tp mcm ada lah bulan 8 begitu. but this phenomenon actually not only apply to the Sun, but also to the Moon. Sometimes we can see there’s a ring surrounding the Moon at night. That is actually the same phenomenon as the Sun today. From the explanation of the Halo, light from the Sun/Moon is refracted by ice crystals found in the upper level of cirrus clouds. Ice crystals? You know what, i never believed these things actually really exist up there at the atmosphere until I searched about Halo. hmmm… talking about “Snowing”. kekekeke…
