Johncow Copyright Infringement Joke

Soon after i visited 5Xmom.com, i noticed there is one post Holy Cow! Who is Suing Johncow.com in the first place i consider this post as a funny joke made by johncow.com to create a good article to generate more traffic to his blog. You must be wondering why did i think that way? Because the letter posted by johncow.com doesn’t really show that his website are facing serious problem with any copyright issues like what he stated. refer the post here: The End

Below is the letter quoted from johncow.com

Dear John Cow,It has come to our attention that you have made unauthorized use of our copyrighted work xxxx in the preparation of a work derived therefrom. We have reserved all rights in the Work, which was first published in xxxx on http://www.xxxxxxxx.com, and we have registered the copyright.

Your work entitled xxxx and which appears on your web site at http://www.xxxxxxx.com, is essentially identical to the Work and clearly used the Work as its basis.

You neither asked for nor received permission to use the Work as the basis for xxxx nor to make or distribute copies of it. Therefore, we believe you have willfully infringed our rights under 17 USC Section 101, et seq. and could be liable for statutory damages as high as $100,000.

We demand that you immediately cease the use and distribution of all infringing works derived from the Work, and all copies of it, and that you deliver to us all unused, undistributed copies of it, or destroy such copies immediately, and that you desist from this or any other infringement of our rights in the future. If we have not received an affirmative response from you by xx/xx/xx indicating that you have fully complied with these requirements, we shall consider taking the full legal remedies available to rectify this situation.

So what’s the catch? Hmmm i think there is no catch? soon after this cute cow posted the article, Johnchow.com the evil blog (hehehe) come up with one article denying that he is not the one who suing the cute cow johnchow.com say:

It looks like the cows are about to come home for John Cow. The growing parody site has been slapped with a copyright infringement lawsuit.

Carefully considering our current position, we have decided that it’s time to give in. The money we’ve made so far would not cover any lawsuit. It is with great regret that we are throwing in the towel because we really thought we were well on our way to become dot cow millionaires.

Before anyone ask, it’s not me suing the cow. This is one of those sue them to rack up their legal bills type of lawsuit. The guy is not looking to win. He knows he won’t. However, he also knows the cow doesn’t have the milk to pay for a lawyer. I’m going to work with the cow to see if we can come up with some evil way to get him out of his legal mess.

So Johnchow said no it’s not me ok ? So he said he want’s to work out with johncow.com about this copyright infringement matters with Johncow.com so in a way johnchow was actually trying to be a nice man (hahah, you know johncow he is a super business minded person, so there’s must be a catch there, or else he won’t help johncow.com, hey it’s a win win situations la) so what happen? right after the post, i think Johnchow.com contacted his non biological brother to offer some help. heheheh what do you think?

Well i think they agreed with some marketing and advertisement joint venture (wahahah nice one!) So what happen? Yeha! finally Johncow.com site was redirected to Johnchow.com (walaweh how come leh?, is johncow.com really closed?) Nah, Not Yet, ok…Not yet…. Zul informed Lilian 5xmom.com that johncow.com now redirected to johnchow.com Read the article here So now readers of 5xmom.com will surely straight forward go to johncow.com to see the truth (Free traffic to johnchow.com) i don’t know how long does this offer last for johnchow.com. however this for sure give some nice traffic to john chow.

So finally today…The truth came out…. johncow posted two new article about what the story all about hahaha (it’s funny)

well i learned something from it.

1) The COW get Free traffic generated from others blogger, when people think the joke is for real, people will discuss about it

2) Nice topic give nice traffic ah?

4) If you notice, people love controversial story (so what are you waiting for? write one now ok)
