14 Million malaysian user at friendster.com??

Have you been wondering about how true is this fact? Well in malaysia the most popular website is friendster.com where they (friendster.com) claimed there is about 14 million malaysian user. How true is this fact?

I was actually wondering how on earth malaysian user on this site are so huge? because at the moment malaysian has only 28 million population in general…

so if these 14 million user are from malaysia, Means 50% of malaysian are friendster user?Aha don’t believe it? me myself can’t believe it.

But according to the internetworldstats.com currently malaysia only have:

13,528,200 Internet users as of Sept/06, 47.8% penetration, per MCMC.

So as you can see, as of 2006 we have 13 million user on the net? and currently friendster.com claimed there is 14 million malaysian user? are sure? hehehe i don’t think so.

I saw many malaysian giant company start to advertise with friendster.com hoping that their message can reach our 14 million user.

Well, this is just a stats from friendster.com and to make sure this fact is real or not..will be very hard i guess. I did my own simple research about how come there is 14 million malaysian user at friendster.com ??

The anwser is very simple, some of the user duplicated their account more than 3 per person, thats means. considering 1 million malaysian user duplicate their account more than 3 means we will be having 3 million user but this is not a unique user..right?

Friendster.com is very smart, they only allow each user to have a maximum of 1000 friends in their contact. So when you want to have more friends, you need to create another new account.

So do you still believe there is about 14 million malaysian user at friendster.com?/
